What Event Photography Costs in Prague
Real starting prices, what moves them, and what a cheap quote usually leaves out.
Event photography in Prague is quoted on a handful of variables, not a single day rate. How long the programme runs, how many rooms are live at once, how fast you need the images, and what you are legally allowed to do with them afterwards all move the number.
Below is how our own pricing works, what changes it, and what a suspiciously cheap quote usually leaves out. Every figure is a genuine starting point, not a teaser.

Every quote is fixed in advance and in writing. We do not bill overtime by surprise: if the programme is likely to run long, we say so before you sign, not after we have shot it.
What Actually Moves the Price
Duration first, then simultaneity. A six-hour single-track conference is one photographer. Three parallel tracks plus an expo floor and an evening dinner is a briefed team, and the price reflects headcount rather than hours.
Delivery Speed
A standard gallery within 48 hours is included. A news set delivered during the event — so your team can post while the room is still full — requires an on-site editing workflow and is quoted as an addition.
Usage Rights
Our standard licence covers your own marketing, press and internal use in perpetuity. Extended rights for paid advertising, stock resale or third-party distribution are agreed separately, because they are worth more to you and should be priced honestly.
Travel & Venue
Anywhere inside Prague is included. Venues outside the city, multi-city roadshows and residential retreats add travel and, where the schedule demands it, accommodation — quoted as a line item, never buried in a day rate.
Second Photographer
Roughly the moment your programme has two things happening at once. A second shooter is not an upsell; it is the difference between covering your event and sampling it.
Video Alongside Stills
Booking photography and videography from one team is materially cheaper than two suppliers, and removes the most common problem at covered events: two crews shooting each other.
How many images will I actually receive?
For a single-photographer conference day, expect 300–500 edited images. A two-photographer multi-track event delivers 600–900. Any quote promising “all the photos” is promising you unedited mistakes.
Is editing included, or extra?
Included. Colour correction, exposure balancing and selection are part of the job, not an add-on. Heavy retouching of individual portraits is the only thing we quote separately.
What happens if the event runs late?
We agree a realistic end time up front and build in a buffer. If your programme genuinely overruns, we stay and tell you the cost before the extra hour starts — never after.
Do you charge a deposit?
Yes, a booking deposit secures your date. Prague’s event calendar collides badly in May, June, September, October and December; without a deposit the date is not held.
Why are some quotes so much cheaper?
Usually one of four reasons: no insurance, no backup equipment, no second card in the camera, or a licence that limits how you may use your own event photos. Ask which one it is.
Can I pay as a company, with a proper invoice?
Yes. We invoice as a registered Czech business (IČO 08349541), which means your finance team gets a compliant invoice and your procurement checks pass without drama.
