What Prague’s Autumn Congress Season Is Asking For in 2026
September 12, 2026Many companies use an event as the one day in the year when the whole leadership team is in the same city. That makes it the natural moment for portraits. In autumn, Prague’s parks and courtyards offer a background that no studio can match — warm colours, soft light and a sense of place — provided the session is planned around the weather and the programme.
Choose the time before the location
The best outdoor portrait light in autumn comes in the late morning and the last hour and a half before sunset. Midday sun on a clear day is harsh; an overcast sky, on the other hand, is ideal for portraits all day long. Fit the session into a quiet part of the agenda and keep it short: most people need three to four minutes in front of the camera, not twenty.
Find a location close to the venue
A portrait session that requires a taxi ride will be cancelled the moment the programme runs late. We look for a spot within a few minutes’ walk of your venue: a park, a courtyard, a quiet street with trees. We check it the day before, including where the sun will be at the time of the session.

Always have an indoor alternative
Autumn weather changes quickly. For every outdoor session we plan an indoor backup near a large window, with a neutral background. If the forecast is uncertain, we set up both and decide an hour before.
Tell your team what to wear
Plain colours work better than patterns; darker jackets look good against autumn leaves. Ask everyone to bring the outfit they want to be photographed in, not the one they travel in. It sounds obvious, and it is the most common reason portraits are retaken.
Consistency matters more than variety
If the portraits are for your website, LinkedIn or an annual report, what matters most is that they match: the same framing, the same light, the same retouching. That is why we photograph the whole group in one session rather than in separate slots over several days. Retouched files are delivered within 48 hours.
How many people fit in one session
With three to four minutes per person, a well-organised session photographs around fifteen people an hour. For larger teams, we split the session into blocks around the programme — before the first talk, over lunch, during a longer break — and keep a simple list so nobody is missed. Across a two-day event, a pop-up setup can handle up to about three hundred people.
Group portraits of the leadership team
If you also want a group picture of the management team, plan it at the start of the session, when everyone is fresh and on time. Outdoors, a group portrait works best with the light behind the photographer and a simple background — a line of trees, a building facade — rather than a busy view.
