Golf Days and Executive Retreats: Photographing Corporate Leisure Events Around Prague
September 10, 2026From late autumn into winter, Prague often wakes up in fog. For an event organiser it is a small inconvenience; for a photographer it can be a gift. Towers disappear into grey, street lamps glow, and a venue facade suddenly looks like a film set.
Where fog helps, and where it does not
Fog is good for atmosphere: exterior views of the venue, arrivals in the evening, a short walk between buildings. It is not good for the classic panoramic shot of the Castle above the river — on a foggy morning that view may simply not exist. If a skyline picture matters to you, schedule it for a clear moment rather than for a fixed time.
Plan the exterior shots loosely
We ask for a flexible fifteen minutes rather than a fixed slot for exterior photographs. If the weather is interesting, we use it. If it is flat and grey, we photograph the details instead — signage, arrivals, the doorway — and come back to the facade later.
Evenings are the real opportunity
After dark, fog turns street lights and lit monuments into soft halos. An evening transfer past the Powder Tower or across a bridge can produce the most memorable picture of the whole programme. If you have one, tell us: we will be ready at the window or on the pavement.
Mornings: move the view, keep the programme
If a skyline or Castle view is part of a morning programme — a breakfast with a view, a group photo on a terrace — do not delay the whole day for it. Keep the programme on time and let us pick up the view later if the fog lifts, which it often does by late morning.
Keep one flexible slot in the day
A single loose quarter of an hour in the afternoon is enough to catch the moment the weather turns interesting. It costs almost nothing in the schedule and it gives the gallery the kind of image that makes people stop scrolling.
