Event Photography at Hilton Prague Atrium

Prague’s big conference hotel in Karlín, photographed during a full company kick-off — plenary, panels, breakouts, registration and the rooftop reception.

Hilton Prague Atrium — still widely known simply as Hilton Prague — sits on the Vltava embankment at Pobřežní 311/1 in Karlín, ten minutes from the Old Town. It is one of the few venues in the city that can hold an entire company under one roof: a Congress Hall for up to 1,500 guests that divides into three, dozens of breakout rooms, and a rooftop bar for the evening.

The photographs below come from an international technology company’s annual kick-off that we covered here from registration to the last toast. They show what the venue looks like when it is actually working — not the empty rooms in a sales brochure.

Photographing this venue

What we plan for when a programme runs here.

The main hall is a dark room — that is an advantage

The plenary space is lit for the stage, not the audience. Exposing for the speaker keeps the LED graphics readable and turns the room into a clean dark frame; audience reaction shots are taken from the stage side, where the spill light falls on faces.

Shoot the foyer before doors open

Badges, tote bags, lounge corners and the welcome desk carry the brand. They photograph cleanly only before 200 people walk through them — so that pass happens first, as a separate shot list.

Breakout rooms need a plan, not luck

With dozens of meeting rooms available, parallel sessions are the norm here. We map which room hosts which track and when, so the rotation covers every speaker instead of whichever door was nearest.

The rooftop is a blue-hour location

The evening reception upstairs has one of the best views in Karlín. Arriving before full dark gives a sky with colour in it; after that, the ambient lighting of the bar carries the pictures.
