Autumn Light in Prague’s Parks: Planning Outdoor Executive Portrait Sessions for October Events
September 11, 2026The 72-Hour Prague Weather Reading: How Event Photographers Plan Around an Unpredictable Sky
September 12, 2026We are midway through Prague’s autumn congress season, and the briefs arriving this year look measurably different from those of two years ago. Three requests have moved from occasional to standard.
1. Same-Day Delivery Is No Longer a Premium Request
Organisers increasingly expect a curated set of images during the event, not after it. The reasoning is straightforward: a congress is a news event, and coverage published while delegates are still in the building performs several times better than a recap posted the following week. Delivering thirty to sixty edited images each evening of a multi-day congress has become the baseline expectation for association work in this city.
2. Vertical Is a Primary Format, Not an Afterthought
Two years ago vertical crops were something the social team produced afterwards from horizontal frames, usually badly. Now they are specified in the brief. That changes how we shoot: certain moments — the speaker at the lectern, the queue at a sponsor activation, the award handover — get deliberately composed vertical frames rather than being cropped later with the subject’s head cut off.
3. Sponsor Visibility Has to Be Provable
The most significant shift. Organisers are being asked by sponsors for evidence of contracted visibility, and are passing that requirement to us as a formal deliverable. Increasingly we receive the sponsorship benefits matrix alongside the run of show, and turn it into a coverage checklist: every logo placement, every branded activation, every hospitality area — each photographed with people interacting, because an empty banner proves only that a logo was printed.
What This Means If You Are Planning for 2027
Build these three requirements into the photography brief from the start, and budget for the on-site editing capacity that same-day delivery genuinely requires. All three are achievable; none of them can be added on the morning of the event.
