Budget or Premium? How to Read Event Photography Quotes in Prague
September 16, 2026Artificial intelligence has changed how photographs are edited, and event photography is no exception. For you as a client, the useful question is not how the software works, but what it changes about the photographs you receive — and where it should stay out.
What gets faster
The slowest part of delivering an event gallery used to be the first sort: going through thousands of frames to remove the blinks, the blurred shots and the near-duplicates. Software can now do much of that pre-selection, and do it well. The final choice should still be made by a person, but it starts from a shorter list. Tools like this are part of why fast delivery — a full gallery within a couple of days, a selection on the same day — has become a realistic expectation.
What gets more consistent
A conference day moves between rooms with very different light: daylight in the foyer, LED walls on stage, warm bulbs at the dinner. Modern editing tools make it easier to match colour and exposure across all of those, so the gallery looks like one event rather than a collection of rooms.

Where editing should stop
An event photograph is a record. It shows who was there and what happened. That should put clear limits on editing, and it is worth asking any photographer to confirm them:
- No people added to or removed from a scene.
- No changes to what is on screens, signs or badges.
- No generated crowds, backgrounds or “better” versions of a moment that did not happen.
- Natural portrait retouching: skin tone, stray hairs, light blemishes — not reshaping faces.
If a photograph is going to press or into an annual report, it has to be true. That matters more than any tool.
What to ask any photographer
Ask how long delivery takes, how many edited images to expect, and what their editing rules are. A clear answer to the last question is a good sign. If you need the images fast, ask whether a same-day selection is possible and how it is delivered.
What stays human
Software can sort frames, but it does not know that the person in the third row is your CEO’s most important customer, or that a particular handshake was the reason the event happened. Choosing which moments tell the story of your event is still the photographer’s job, and it depends on the briefing you give: the VIP list, the sponsors and the pictures your communications team needs.
Speed has a limit
Fast delivery is valuable, but a same-day selection is always a selection. If you need a handful of pictures during the event, plan it with your photographer and accept that the complete, carefully edited gallery follows later. Both have their place.
Our delivery times, image numbers and licence terms are summarised in the FAQ.
